What is a shower tray?

A shower tray is the waterproof base of your shower. It sits beneath your enclosure or wet room screen, catching water and channelling it straight to the waste. Our shower trays are made from stone resin for a solid feel underfoot. Some add a textured surface for extra grip, and our anti-slip shower trays offer added peace of mind for busy family bathrooms.

Types of shower trays

Every bathroom layout has a tray to match. Here’s how our range breaks down.

• Quadrant shower trays have two straight sides and a gently curved front. They tuck neatly into a corner, freeing up floor space in compact bathrooms and en-suites.

• Offset quadrant shower trays share the curved front but have one side longer than the other. You get extra elbow room without taking over the floor. Offset designs come in left-handed and right-handed versions, so confirm which side you need the longer edge on.

• Square shower trays have four equal sides, so they fit snugly into corners and alcoves. A versatile choice that pairs with pivot, sliding and bi-fold doors.

• Rectangular shower trays give you a longer showering space with room to move. They’re a popular swap for an old bath and suit walk-in designs too.

• Low-profile shower trays sit close to the floor for a sleek, minimal step-in. Ideal for contemporary bathrooms and anyone who wants easier access.

• Wet room shower trays create the base for an open, walk-in shower. Pair one with a wet room screen for a clean, spa-like finish.

• Raised shower trays come with a riser kit that lifts the tray, letting waste pipes run above floor level. Panels keep the pipework neatly hidden.

Shower tray sizes

Our shower tray sizes cover everything from a snug en-suite to a generous walk-in. Square trays start at 700 x 700mm and go up to 1000 x 1000mm. Rectangular trays run from 900mm to 1800mm long, with widths from 700mm to 900mm, and our large shower trays suit the roomiest spaces. Depth is important too. Slimline profiles sit 30mm to 39mm tall, while low-profile trays measure 40mm to 49mm.

To choose the right size, measure your space wall-to-wall, including any tiled surfaces, then match the tray to your enclosure. Check where your waste pipe sits before you order. Most of our trays are universal and fit either way round.

Shower tray materials and finishes

Every shower tray in our collection is made from stone resin, a dense material that feels solid underfoot and stays rigid. Some are finished in gel coat stone resin for a smooth, protective top layer. For texture and character, our slate-effect shower trays recreate the look of natural stone. Choose from crisp white, soft grey, or a bold black shower tray to frame darker tiles.

How to fit a shower tray

Check the floor is flat, level and strong enough to take the tray’s weight. Dry fit the tray to make sure the waste lines up. Bed it on mortar, or set it on its riser kit, and level it carefully. Connect the waste and test for leaks. Once your enclosure is in, seal the edges with sanitary silicone. If you’re not fully confident, we advise booking a qualified plumber or fitter for a watertight finish.
