What types of enclosures are square shower trays compatible with?
Square shower trays need a matching square enclosure, so an 800 x 800 square shower tray takes an 800 x 800mm enclosure. Equal sides let your door sit on either side. They pair especially well with corner entry enclosures, whose sliding doors save space. Pivot doors open outwards for easy entry. Bi-fold doors fold inwards, keeping walkways clear. If your shower will sit against a wall, pair your square shower tray with a 3-sided enclosure.

Square shower tray sizes
Our square shower tray sizes run from 700 x 700mm to 1000 x 1000mm. A small square shower tray at 700mm or 760mm suits en suites and cloakrooms. Choose an 800 x 800mm square shower tray or a 900 x 900mm square shower tray for more elbow room. Trays stand just 30mm or 40mm high. Riser kit versions add adjustable legs (70 to 108mm) and a 95mm plinth to hide pipework.

What materials do square shower trays come in?
There are three to choose from. Apex stone resin trays have a white acrylic cap and a honeycomb base for strength. Hudson Reed Pearlstone trays are up to 50% lighter than standard stone resin, and they’re made in Britain. Luxor slate effect trays add texture in white, grey or black, each with a colour-matched grate.
How to install a square shower tray
Check your floor is level and solid first. Dry fit the tray to line up the waste with your pipework. Bed a low-profile tray on mortar or set and level the riser legs. Connect the waste. Test for leaks. Then seal the edges with sanitary silicone. If you’re not fully confident, we recommend hiring a qualified plumber for a watertight finish.

Which waste and drainage system does a square shower tray need?
Apex trays have a 90mm waste outlet. The waste is sold separately. Pair it with our 90mm fast flow shower tray waste in chrome, matt black, brushed brass or gun metal grey. Selected Luxor slate effect trays come with the waste included. For other trays, check the product page for the outlet size.
Do square shower trays come with anti-slip?
Yes, our Luxor slate effect square shower trays come with a Grade-2 anti-slip surface for extra grip underfoot. Apex stone resin and Pearlstone trays have a smooth, easy-clean finish instead. If grip matters most, choose slate effect.
