The length of your bath makes the biggest difference to your bathing experience. These are the options that we stock:

• 1400mm baths: These work brilliantly in tight spaces, such as small en-suites, where a full-size bath won't fit.

• 1500mm baths: A step up in comfort whilst still leaving room for other bathroom fixtures you need.

• 1600mm baths: Popular in mid-sized bathrooms where you want something more generous.

• 1700mm baths: This is the standard bathtub size in the UK. Most adults can lie back comfortably at this length.

• 1800mm baths: Our longest option gives taller people enough leg room and anyone else plenty of space to spread out.

Bath widths

Bath widths range from 700mm to 850mm across our collection. The standard 700mm width suits most bathrooms and bodies with enough space for relaxing. Wider baths (up to 850mm) give you more shoulder room and feel noticeably more spacious when you're in them. Make sure to measure your bathroom before selecting your bath size to ensure it fits.

Bath depths

Bath depth determines how much of your body stays underwater when bathing. Most baths sit somewhere between 400mm and 500mm deep, with 420-430mm being the standard. Check your water system can cope before choosing a particularly deep design to make sure you can fill it to its full capacity.

How to measure for a bath?

Start by measuring your bathroom space. Measure the length of the wall where the bath will sit. Then measure the width available, accounting for any pipework, radiators, or doors that need clearance. If you are doing a direct replacement, measure the length, width and depth of your existing bathtub for ease. Make sure your bath can be delivered to your bathroom by measuring the doorway width and any tight corners or staircases it needs to navigate. Don't measure right to the millimetre. You need space for panels, sealing, and slight adjustments during fitting. A good rule is to leave at least 10-20mm extra on each side. If your measurements are borderline, go for the next size down to be safe.

What size is a standard bath?

The standard bath size in the UK is 1700mm x 700mm. This size fits most bathrooms and allows an average-height adult to lie down properly with their legs fully extended. The 700mm width gives you enough space without taking over smaller rooms. If you're replacing an old bath and don't have special requirements, sticking with these dimensions usually suits most households.

What is the smallest bath size UK?

What size is a wide bath?

Our widest baths measure 850mm across, compared to the standard size bathtub width of 700mm. The extra 150mm allows for more shoulder room, making it feel less restrictive. Wide baths require more floor space and are well-suited for families with young children.

What is the average size of a bath with a shower?

Shower bath dimensions start with the average bath size (1700mm long) and add width at one end for the shower area. L-shaped and p-shaped shower baths typically widen out to 850-900mm at the shower end while keeping the rest at standard width. This design gives you a proper bathtub when you want a soak and a practical shower space when you're in a hurry.
