Shower Doors

Done well, a shower door is as much a design feature as it is a fixture. It’s the frame around your shower, the finish that ties everything together, and the first thing a visitor notices. Browse sliding, pivot, and recessed glass shower doors below in chrome, matt black, brushed brass, and brushed bronze, with free UK delivery on every order.

What types of shower doors are available?

This range covers four main types, each suited to a different bathroom layout and door preference.

  • Sliding shower doors run on a track and overlap to open, so they don’t require any clearance in front of the door, making them the natural choice where space is tight.

  • Pivot shower doors are hinged and swing outward, giving you a wider entry point and a cleaner look when open.

  • Recessed shower doors fit flush between two parallel walls, turning an alcove into a self-contained shower zone.

  • Side panels are also available for converting a standalone door into a full corner enclosure.

What is the difference between a sliding and pivot shower door?

A sliding shower door runs on a top and bottom track, with two panels that overlap to allow entry, without the door swinging outward. This makes it ideal for bathrooms where the door would otherwise clash with a toilet, vanity unit, or towel rail when opened. A pivot shower door is hinged at the top and bottom and swings outward into the room, giving you a wider entry point and a more open feel when in use. If you have enough clearance in front of the shower, a pivot door tends to feel more premium and is easier to keep clean given the lack of a track.

What sizes are available in glass shower doors?

Sizes vary by door type across this range:

  • Sliding shower doors are available in widths from 1000mm to 1700mm, suited to larger alcoves and rectangular layouts.

  • Pivot shower doors are available in widths from 700mm to 1000mm, making them the better choice for tighter spaces and corner installations.

  • Recessed shower doors are available in widths from 1000mm to 1700mm, designed to seal a standard three-wall alcove.

Heights across the range run from 1800mm to 1950mm depending on the design.

What glass thickness should I choose for a shower door?

Both 6mm and 8mm glass are available across this range. 6mm is the standard choice, and provides good clarity and durability for everyday use. 8mm glass feels noticeably more substantial, flexes less during use, and gives the door a more solid, premium quality. The Luton range uses 8mm easy clean glass as standard, which also includes a protective coating that repels water and reduces limescale and soap residue build-up over time.

What finishes are available in shower doors?

Five finishes are available across this range, each with its own character:

  • Chrome is the most versatile and works in almost any bathroom scheme.

  • Matt black makes a stronger visual statement and suits modern, minimal spaces.

  • Brushed brass and brushed bronze add warmth and pair well with natural materials and warmer colour schemes.

  • Grey is a subtler option that works particularly well in neutral or contemporary bathrooms.

Do shower doors come with a tray?

Some designs in this range do. The Luton recessed sliding shower screen designs are available with a slate effect stone resin tray included, which takes the hassle out of sourcing a matching tray separately. If you’re sourcing a tray separately, browse our full shower trays range to find one that matches your door size and finish.

Can I use a shower door with an existing enclosure?

Replacing an existing shower door rather than starting from scratch is straightforward, as long as the dimensions match. Most doors in this range are sold as standalone units and fit directly into an existing frame or alcove, and side panels from the Easy range are available if you need to extend or complete an enclosure alongside the new door. Always check your existing frame dimensions carefully before ordering, and if you’re unsure what will work, get in touch and our team will help.
