What is the difference between a single and double sliding shower door?

A single sliding door has one fixed panel and one that moves, with the opening sitting to one side of the enclosure. A double sliding door works differently, with both panels sliding toward each other to create a wider, more central opening that’s noticeably easier to step through. What glass thickness should I choose for a sliding shower door?

The Ella range uses 5mm glass, which is perfectly adequate for everyday use and keeps the door light on the track. The Grand range steps up to 6mm, which feels noticeably more solid, flexes less during use, and gives the whole door a more premium quality. For a family bathroom that sees heavy daily use, the Grand range is the better long-term choice. For a guest bathroom or occasional use, the Ella does the job well.
